Ridge south of larkin valley. Maximum development of Arctostaphylos hookeri. 9 feet as indicated by 3' rule. Does not form burl at base of stem. Sandy soil. (see herbarium specimen). Assoc. species: Pellaea ornithopus, Quercus agrifolia, Baccharis pilularis, Rhus diversiloba, Corylus rostrata var. californica, Rhamnus californica, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Ceanothus dentatus.
