Looking south at north slope of Casmalia Hills. Shows formation of Arctostaphylos rudis in association with Arctostaphylos andersonii, Salvia mellifera, Ericameria ericoides, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Ceanothus rigidus and Ceanothus diversifolius occur but not abundantly. Note height of chaparral as indicated by 3 ft. rule. Soil consists of sand.
