Title
Quercus chrysolepis. This is about the size it reaches at the higher elevations in the timber belt and is representative of its size in the woodlands on the north side of the divide between San Gabriel Valley and the desert. On the desert side of the San Gabriel Mts. it is more or less stunted except in canyon bottoms and favorable sites.
