Looking south from Devils Punchbowl area up first ravine west of south fork of Rock Creek. Western yellow pine type on ridge tops. Bigcone spruce, canyon oak, and canyon oak-Coulter pine woodland and desert chaparral types on slopes. Slopes on extreme left and to the east have Canyon oak and Bigcone spruce type with Coulter pine absent. Corresponding slopes on extreme right and to the west have Canyon oak and Coulter pine with Bigcone spruce absent. (See map)
