Redwood Region. A slack-line logged area of 1940, Freshwater Creek, south of Kneeland Prairie Road. Good sprinkling of redwood and Douglas fir (more of the latter) even though seed trees are more than 1000 ft. away. Douglas fir grows faster than redwood here. 1-12-55, E.F.
