Title
Redwood region. Cross section of huge redwood (tree #7218) erected in memory of C. R. Johnson, founder of Union Lumber Company and of Fort Bragg, California. Tree was about 1750 years old. The section shows 1728 years. Tree was 21' 2" inside bark on stump, 334' high, 204' to first break and scaled 140, 800 board feet. Bear Haven Creek Ten Mile River area. This section came from about 10' above the ground and is 16'+ in diameter. See TIMBERMAN, June 1943. 10-2-43 E.F.
